AUTO EXPLORE (AE)
Whenever you go to an Area Map you can see an “Auto Explore” button. It will allow you to explore faster by using 5 energy at a time and get experience and coins. It is used by people who have not enough time to play. It is not recommended though, especially when you are not softcapped yet because you won’t be able to meet random encounters and get pills or other items.

BANKER'S GUILD
Bankers Guild is not really a guild, as many newbies think. For a one-time purchase with 42 gems it eliminates the 10% fee you have to normally pay each time you bank your coins and gives you 5 item slots in your bank. It also provides you the ally hotel where you can store a maximum of two non-premium allies. The initial purchase of Banker’s Guild also gives you +10 to maximum energy and 10% permanent experience bonus. You can upgrade the bank to a maximum of 50 slots (32 gems for each 5 slots after the initial purchase).
It is strongly recommended that your first purchase with gems be the Banker's Guild. Make it a habit to bank your coins. Every time you die in battle you lost coins equivalent to replenishing your HP in town. If you banked your coins before you died replenishing will cost 0 coins.
BLACK MARKET (BM)
Black Market is the button in the upper right corner of every town, just below the Arena. Contrary to what most players initially think, you can not put an item to sell in the Black Market. The game provides the item and players try to win it by bidding. The highest bid by the end of the timer wins. A player has to be within the item’s level range to be able to see it in the BM (a level 60 will not see a fallen gear because of level restriction).
If you buy the item with gems the item stays in the market, but you also bought one. This means you can buy an unlimited number of one item as long as you have the gems. (thanks to delta501 for info)
EVENT
Events are special days in DW that coincide with an international holiday like Christmas or Easter. During these events there is 50% more experience and coins and maybe a few more bonuses (during the Easter event there is the Easter Bunny and MB every hour). These events may last for days, a week, or may depend on the developer’s decision to extend the event or not. There is also the Super Bonus Weekend that lasts for at least 3 days every weekend (starts Thursday 23:00 and ends Monday 02:00, +4GMT). To check whether an event is on, go to Home tab. It usually is the first message you will see.

POWER FINISH (PF)
Power finish is achieved when you deal 25% damage BELOW to a level 5+ enemy. For example, if he has 1000 hp, you need to reach -250 to get a PF. To do this get his hp to a really low number then finish him with a strong skill. Doing a PF nets you twice the experience.
GAME QUESTIONS
Why is the name of that monster is in red/purple and what does enraged mean?
If the name of the monster is in red then that monster is an elite mob. Elite mobs have 50% more health and do 50% more damage than in their normal form, but give 200% amount of normal experience and coins when defeated. If the name of the monster is in purple then that mob is a super elite mob. Super Elite mobs have 100% more health and do 100% more damage than in their normal form, and rewards 400% amount of experience and coins when defeated.
Sometimes when you hit a monster, it’ll go enraged. This will cause them to deal twice amount of damage than they normally would have, but also gives more experience. It's a good idea to kill them as fast as possible when they are enraged so you do not take too much damage.
I always hear “Gwyne/Neo/CL up” in chat. What is that?
It is a cue to alert other members that raging has finished and the boss showed up at last. To know which boss is available at which area/level check the AREAS page.
Can I survive the Omega Beam (or any 1-hit kill boss attack) if I go beyond 250,000 HP?
No, even if you managed to go beyond 250,000 HP. kingk designed these 1-hit boss attacks as instant kill. Check this forum thread for proof.
How can I message someone in the game?
Unfortunately this is one aspect of the game that was not developed fully. Anyone can message a GM by clicking his name then the “message” button just above his name (your GM or GM of other guilds); and the GM can message any of his members individually or thru the guild message. That is it.
CHAT QUESTIONS
How can I change chat rooms?
In the upper right part of your chat you can see Chat actions and a drop down arrow. Click the arrow and choose Change chat rooms, then choose the room you want to go to.
How can I message someone privately?
Look for the person’s name in the list of people present in the chat. Hover on his name and and choose Private message. The other way is to type /w <name> <message>.
Why is that person’s name in italics?
There is an option to let other people know you’re busy or idle or just not available at the moment. Go to Chat actions and choose Set status: Away. Your name will now be in italics and will alert anyone who tries to pm you that you are AFK.
What is that number beside my name?
That is your Kongregate level. You level up in kong by playing other games and earning badges and points. Your kong level does not affect Dream World in any way.
Somebody is pissing me off in the chat. How can I remove him?
Unfortunately, there is no way you can remove a person from chat unless you call a chat moderator. You can mute him, though, by looking for his name in the list and choosing Mute.
