CARDS (hotkey: "V" - Cards)
- Every time you kill a mob/boss you have a chance to obtain its card. The number of stars indicate the rarity level of that card, with 1 being the lowest (most common) and 7 being the highest (very rare).
- Only the top 10 cards will be counted towards your experience bonus (1 star=1%).
- You can only have 50 cards at hand at one time, but you can start discarding once you have 46. For collectors, you can view all the available cards in the "View List". Discarded cards will still be considered as collected.
- Guild boss cards can drop while collecting reward link, or after the battle if you killed it. Global boss cards drop right after the battle. For level 95+, Fallen card and Hell Gate mobs have a chance to drop from Poseidon. PB's can also drop their non-possessed counterparts.
- "Chance for boss cards varies based on rarity and reward mechanism (easiest are probably the Demon Gate and Possessed bosses which mostly are set at 0.5%). The guild based boss chance roll happens when you claim your reward and you need to do 10%+ damage to get the chance roll. Global bosses chance happen at end each fight encounter and is set at much lower rate." - kingk, from here.
KING OF DUELS
- Go to Junkton and you will see the "King of Duels" area. You must be level 60+ and have at least 10 cards to enter. Click "Rules and Prizes" to learn more about it. If you did not edit your deck, you will start with your 10 highest cards as shown in your list. Any new and better cards you find will not be automatically added to your deck. If you delete a card that is in your deck it will be replaced by the topmost unused card from your collection. To rearrange your cards click "Edit Deck".
- During the battle, your cards are always on the top side. If you and your opponent have the same cards in a match up (example, two Loliths) there's a 50/50 chance to win that round.
- kingk explained how the elements work. What he did not say, however, is that a lower-star card will never win against a higher-star card, even with the 25% attack boost from an element.
- Your available opponents list will show players based on your current ranking. The minimum number of opponents is always 5, the game will choose a random player that you haven't fought yet in case you managed to beat the top ones.
- If 2 or more people share a rank, for example eight people in 1st, the next rank will be 9th. During the time I am writing this some s2 players agreed to lower their cards so other people can have a chance to get the arena ring. We have as much as 22 people in rank 1. Unfortunately, the 23rd person will only get the amount of gems for rank 21-50.
- The only strategy I can share is to take the risk and watch your opponent's cards (and Junkton wall, if you're on s2). Take note of those who change their arrangement every now and then, and stay away from them. I was able to defeat a 53% player (I'm only 51%) by observing and moving my cards around.
- If you feel there is no way you can reach rank 50 whatever you do, then just play KoD for the badges. You can get 2 badges here, one after your 100th win, and the second on your 1,000th win.
